Tucson Peace Center's Calendar has a new colorful website look (click here). Easier to read their postings and event listings. Their peace calendar is also available at most Pima County public libraries.
Theme for this year's peace festival is "Climate Justice", and also new is the Climate Cabaret Ramada, so check it out. Call Chair Mary DeCamp, former Democratic Ward 3 and Mayoral candidate, for more info at (520) 445-4110.

And the Tucson Peace Center is offering a Climate Cabaret this year where everyone can sing, dance, recite, perform, and give artistic expression to what climate change means to them.
Come on out to Reid Park this Saturday and enjoy the largest gathering of Peace, Social Justice, and Environmental groups in Southern AZ.

Peaceful day at the peace fair with lots of booths and a Native American drumming circle Earth Spirit on the stage at the start. Checked out the Climate Cabaret where Global Community Alliance children's choir sang 3 eco-friendly songs, followed by a play entitled "I Guess He's Not Hungry" (about tainted fish, GMO salads, effluent based drinking water). Then 11 Raging Grannies sang songs against nuclear power, frakking, President Obama's broken promises, TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership), and pro climate care and fellow granny Betts Putnam-Hidalgo for TUSD. Continues today till 5 p.m. at Reid Park.
