$15/hr to flip burgers? After 6 years on the job, which took 2 years of schooling (to get the job, not to mention the 3 years it took me testing to actually be chosen) continuing education (paid for out of my own pocket to KEEP the job) I make $17/hr. What's the job you ask? Firefighter. Some jobs are low skill, entry level positions. You want something better? You gotta work your butt off to get it! I worked at McD's when I was in highschool. Made $3.25/hr. This idea will not move the economy forward. It will just make prices go up like it did when they changed it to $7/hr. (Remember when a big mac meal was $2.99? Not that I eat their crap food anymore) sure.. you'll feel good and have more money in your pocket for a few months... then it will equalize and that $15/hr will feel like $7 again... then what? $21/hr to flip burgers? Hell lets make it $30! Why not right?
