The GOP has been targeting Congressman Raul Grijalva for removal for years.
Remember Ruth McClung? The Democrats initially dismissed the young, blond "rocket scientist" with the fiery, Sarah-Palin-style speechifying, but in the end, the new-comer nearly whooped the Congressman's ass in 2010.
Fast forward to 2012, the Republicans are running another attractive airhead against Grijalva-- but this time she's a bit more... ahem... mature and Hispanic-- Gabriela Suacedo Mercer.
With a little more than a month to go, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has announced that Grijalva is "unbeatable". (In all fairness, it should be noted that the new CD3 is 43% Democrat, 34.5% Independent, and only 22% Republican-- a tough race for any Republican.)
Poor Gabby. The national-level Republicans are going to spend their truckloads of cash elsewhere.
Locally, the Republicans are trying to keep a stiff upper lip regarding the Mercer-Grijalva match-up, but it must be hard with the Republican presidential campaign in disarray and with Democrat Richard Carmona in a dead heat with conervative Congressman Jeff Flake for the Arizona's US Senate seat.

Based on that picture you have on the post, I see Gabriela's problem. Not nearly enough American flags.
