We had a great discussion of the issues facing Arizona Wednesday evening at Drinking Liberally at The Shanty, here in Tucson.
I moderated a debate among the three Demcratic candidates for State House in LD9: Dustin Cox, Mohur Sihdwa, and Victoria Steele. We convered a lot of ground, and the resulting event was enlightening and a must listen for any primary voter who wants to make a fully informed choice between these three worthy candidates.
You can also download the MP3 recording of the event for listening on your portable device merely by right clicking and saving the above link.
The sound quality of the recording is problematic at times, especially at the begining with the birds singing as the sun goes down, and at those times when we have a train or loud engine passing by.
We expect to do more of these forums in the near future. The problems with ambient noise you encounter when recording on an iPhone (which is what I did) can be easily mitigated by using a simple directional mic. There is a great inexpensive one, the iRig MIC Cast, that I would like to purchase for these occassions. I am asking for your help in doing so. Any little bit helps, and the goal is just $45. Please chip in!
