I got a warm feeling in my tummy watching this. Thought I'd share the feeling...

This may be one of the biggest scandals to hit Arizona politics since, well, ever. Stay tuned for more Schadenfruedey goodness.

If you ever had any doubts as to whether Arpaio had drank of the right-wing-nut-flavored KoolAid, you only need to check out the contents of his own personal immigration lawsuit file he kept secret despite discovery orders to hand it over.

I'm afraid you may be confusing "persecution" with "prosecution." You see, prosecution occurs in the United States when a person is believed to have broken the law due to the commission of a crime, such as extortion.
