Tim Bee has just proven with this year's Arizona budget exactly how effective he'll be in working with a Democratic majority in Congress. I couldn't be happier to learn that even if Bee pulls off a miracle and beats Gabby, Tim has shown himself an utter pipsqueak who will knuckle under to Democrats without even extracting a political fig leaf.
Timmy conspired with Democrats to pass a budget with a grand total of just 8 Republican votes, four of whom do not face primaries. In fact, it would be entirely justified to view this year's budget as a Democratic budget that Bee gave a few Republicans cover to vote for. That's fantastic! My heart is a-flutter to know that when the chips are down, Timmy will fold.
Slightly more troubling, and deeply revelatory of Bee's true character, is the move that Bee hopes will save his bacon with his base for selling them down the river on the state budget: a gay marriage ballot referendum. In a very real sense, this legislative Kristalnacht is the major accomplishment of his Speakership, and the hallmark of his leadership. Bee doesn't have the stones to deliver a Republican budget, but he sure as hell can bash on the new Jews.
Congratulations Senator Bee, you've managed to reconcile the leadership styles of Neville Chamberlin and Adolph Hitler. That's an historic accomplishment.
It is such a tragedy that "Gay Marriage" has become a political football for those who have nothing better to do than hate. Bee is a young man, relatively speaking, and one would think he has the education, the sophistication, the depth and breadth of spirit to realize what a red herring "gay marriage" is. Very sad!!!!!
Let's all find someone, some group we can hate and then we can feel better/superior - and this is progress??? Shame on Tim Bee who as President of the Senate enabled this and to the Arizona legislators who supported it. It won by one vote - ONE VOTE - so if anyone thinks that it is "just one vote" - they may wish to remember this debacle. And if anyone thinks that it doesn't matter who is in the majority in the legislature, tell them a Republican majority with a Republican Senate President enabled this - by just one vote!

Bee is not likely to win in November. In fact, it is almost a certainty. So what? Arizona already adds disproportionately to the stench in Washington, D.C., both Democratic and Republican.
We should care? Like it does any good?
If things ever start to change for the better, Arizona won't be at the forefront.

I can see you graduated from the "Joseph Goebbels" school of journalism. I would expect this kind of rhetoric from the Grand Dragoon of the Klu Klux Klan not a self proclaimed intellectual.

Actually, I didn't go to journalism school. And if I wanted to emulate the KKK's rhetoric, I would be calling Timmy a communist or a race-traitor. Because the KKK is a home-grown American fascist institution they would hardly consider it opprobrium to compare someone's leadership style to Herr Hitler. In their dirty little heart of hearts, they would consider that a compliment.
