Did that piss you off?
Good. That feeling means you are a real American.
The fucking seditious assholes at Clear Channel who are forcing people to look at this sententious, presumptious, blasphemous, anti-American, Constitution-undermining bullshit, don't know that feeling.
These theo-totalitarian bags of shit are actively trying to undermine the Constitutional order under the guise of speaking for God. The same God whose only Son said "render unto Ceasar..."
There was a time when actively soliciting the overthrow of the American government in favor of some undemocratic system of government, like theocracy, would land your ass in jail. Perhaps it's time that we outlawed theocratic parties who want to overthrow our Constitutional government, like we did to the Communist party.
In case you were wondering, yes, that is a real billboard in Tucson, Arizona on Grant Road between 1st Avenue and Stone. The billboard number is 042002. Tell Clear Channel how you feel about their public disloyalty to the Constitution.
Michael,
I have had to actually deal with Clear Channel Communications in the course of business, and these non-human monsters are the lowest form of breathing matter I have ever encountered. It's been a few years and I still shudder from the day I had to have one of those things in my office.
You cannot expect the slightest ethics, scruples, decency, or any scrap of sound behavior other than the ravenous, unrestrained gluttony for every possible penny that can be wrestled from anyone by any possible means.
Go ahead and call Clear Channel, but prepare to take a shower, rinse your mouth, and watch a movie or something to erase the experience of interacting with such things.

Perhaps I am missing something but how is that sign offensive. I am not sure if the intended message was even suppose to be political. It is clever that all.

Yeah, that's part of the problem. If that billboard said, "Kill all the Christians. I'll sort them out, -God," that might be clever too, but I'm guessing Christians wouldn't find it too damn funny. So when Christians stick up a billboard that advocates essentially killing secular society, you maybe shouldn't be surprised when secularists, and those who don't believe in your heaven, get a little miffed.

I think you're getting a little oversensitive at that one. The people who purchased the ad space from Clear Channel are just saying that there is a higher court than the "Supreme Court."
It's their opinion and they are entitled to it. I seem to recall something about freedom of ... expression?
Hmm. Maybe not. Don't know where I got that idea. I guess we're just not supposed to publish anything that might be offensive to some people.
JH is right. It's just a clever bit of marketing for people who believe in a higher power to remember that this world is not the end all and be all.
If you disagree, that's fine. Don't go to church or synagogue or whatever. It's the same thing as disagreeing with a McDonald's billboard. If you're not "lovin' it," eat somewhere else. No need to advocate for censorship.

We're not talking about censorship. This is called dissent. Expect more of it.
Attention, defenders of bad taste: You can't rest everything on the "freedom of speech" crutch.
